Poetry Contest
Barnes & Noble Booksellers and the Allegheny County Library Association are pleased to announce the One Book One Community Student Poetry Contest for grades 6-12 with finalists featured in a Celebration of Poetry. Download an entry form today.
In celebration of poetry and this year’s One Book One Community feature book, we invite students to submit poems of nature. For example, topics may include but are not limited to “What is your favorite green place?” or “How does nature influence you and how do you influence nature?” Entries must be received by April 15 at your local Barnes & Noble Booksellers store or your local participating library.
Then bring your family, friends, teachers and librarians to enjoy readings from our judges and student finalists. All finalists will be invited to read their poems in the Celebration of Poetry! Join our finalists and distinguished judges for this exciting poetry event.
